Airsoftology has covered the airsoft industry since January 2009, when it started as a podcast. Over that time I (Jonathan) have worked with most of the companies I report on, as a reviewer, event guest, sponsor-supported creator, and for several years as a distributor. This page lists those relationships so you can weigh what I say about any company accordingly.
A few ground rules I follow:
- If I have a current or recent business tie to a company I'm covering, I say so in the video or article, in the description, and link here.
- "Worked with" is not the same as "paid by." Below I say which is which: paid sponsorship or advertising, distribution or supply, affiliate commissions, or product only.
- Where I took money from a company, I will still report news about them, including bad news. Sponsorship has never been a promise of coverage.
Current relationships
- Patch Fiend. I own Patch Fiend (patchfiend.com), which sells morale patches. I may mention it when relevant to a story.
- Amazon Associates. Some links to Amazon, including links to Patch Fiend patches sold there, may be affiliate links. As an Amazon Associate I earn from qualifying purchases.
- Sponsors. No airsoft company is currently sponsoring or paying Airsoftology.
Ended relationships
These are listed by company. "Paid" means the company paid Airsoftology for sponsorship, advertising or a paid video. Dates are approximate and taken from my records and old videos.
- Evike.com
- Retail partner and sponsor, affiliate commissions, and later a customer and supplier through my distribution business (including BCMAir and Senpai products). Evike also still sells some old Patch Fiend inventory it bought years ago; I receive nothing from those sales.
- 2018 to 2025
- BCMAir / Senpai Distribution / VFC (Vega Force)
- I distributed BCMAir airsoft products (made by VFC) in the US through Senpai Distribution.

Product only, no payment
I have received review products from many manufacturers and retailers over the years, including LCT. Product received for review does not come with any promise of a positive review, and I have given negative reviews to companies that sent me product.
About old videos
Many older videos were published before I kept this list, and their descriptions may mention sponsors only briefly or not at all. I'm cleaning up old video descriptions and removing expired and dead affiliate and tracking links. If you find a video that should carry a disclosure and doesn't, tell me and I'll fix it.
