Airsoftology Radio #31: “Broken”

April 5th, 2010
by Jonathan

A new week and a new name. Oh “Airsoftology Talk” we barely knew you!

But after a few weeks of trying the name on for size, we decided it sounded too much  like one of those AM radio shows…  the ones that our Dad made us listen to in the car when we were kids. Hours and HOURS in the car, listening to the endless ramblings of….Oh, Uh, sorry.  Forgot you were there.

But we digress.

So, we have a new name, and it’s here to stay:  Airsoftology Radio!

So, In this show Steve rants about theft at airsoft games, we welcome the start of the official airsoft season in the northern hemisphere, and we answer a stabbing question about rubber knives.  Get it?  Stabbing and knives….ha ha…ha…….ha…….sigh, yeah we know.  That joke sucked.

Informative with a touch of (corny) humor; we break down the news, reviews and questions that you want to hear.

You can download, listen or watch the show by choosing your option below.

7. We’ve seen the news that the US Military is planning on issuing Multicam to the troops deployed in Afghanistan, Steve spoke with a reservist lat week in person and the rumor has been confirmed.

8. Strike-Hold reported on British Army’s new Multi-Terrain Pattern (MTP) camouflage as seen on the BBC (Made in partnership with Crye Precision, the creators of Multicam) Here’s the link to the story.

As always a BIG thanks to our Roving Airsoft Reporters (RARs):  Alex Kong,  Ryan Limpus,  Eric Fine,  Tom B,  Ben W,  Miles P & Robert Irwin

Rant!!!!

This show Steve lets his rage loose on a recent theft of an airsoft gun at the local field, and we think it’s very well founded.

Listener Segment

1.Robert Irwin (RAR) writes in to school us on the correct usage of “Union Jack” as a follow up from last show.  Consider is informed!

2. Mason Writes in and asks out thoughts on safety and fun around using a rubber knife rather than the “bang-bang” rule, and we chime in.

We take a close look at the new lower facemask offering from Bitter End…   You may know them from their amazing mesh goggles that are used worldwide, and I’m sure you’ll be seeing more of them in the years to come.  In fact, Steve liked the mask so much; he wore it for the better part of the show.
