FAQ

Q: What the heck is Airsoftology anyway?

A: Well, the formal definition is “The study of all Things Airsoft”, we just wrap it up in a podcast form and deliver it to you.  We cover current airsoft news, reviews and tech tips along with some “colorful” commentary.

Q: When do you record your shows?

A: We *try* to record every 2 weeks and have the show posted by the following Monday.  But since we have dayjobs, there are outside forces that might delay the podcast.  We’ll always try to keep you posted as to when the next show will be up. Just keep an eye on the main page.

Q: How can I get on your show?

A: If you have an idea for a segment, would like to ask a question relating to airsoft, want to submit a segment you have made, or just want to comment about the show; we have a few ways to accommodate you.

-You can send us your segment as an audio file attachment to airsoftology@gmail.com.  Please include your name, city/state and team affiliation (if any) in the email so we can give you proper credit on the show.

-You can call the Airsoftology comment line at (615) 713-2227 (anytime, day or night) and leave us a voicemail.

-You can just email your question to airsoftology@gmail.com and we’ll try to read it on a show

Q: I sent you a file/segment/question and you haven’t used it.  What can I do to help the odds of getting it on the show.

A: We might not have used your question for a few reasons:

-It was great and we are saving it for an upcoming show where that topic is discussed.

-If it was a pre-recorded file or a message left on the airsoftology line, the question or segment might have been too long for us to use (5-15 seconds is ideal for a question and 30 seconds to 1 minute is perfect for a segment) The more creative you are in creating a segment the better chance we have of using it on the show.

-You might have saved the file in a format we can’t use, try a standard format like wav, mp3, quicktime or windows media format.

-You could have been breathing heavy into the microphone and just creeped us out. We scare easy…

Hey guys, loving the show. A quick noobish question, what the hell are bushings?

  2. Chris Says:

Adam, the dictionary defines a bushing as

    1. an insulating liner in an opening through which conductors pass
    2. a cylindrical metal lining used to reduce friction

In airsoft you’ll find most bushings/bearings located inside your mechbox. They are there to hold your gear’s axle in place and to reduce friction.

Hello Airsoftology. Would you be able to put a link onto your website to enable your listeners to download your opening/exit tune for the show(which is awesome)?
    Thanks
