Show Notes

News:

1. SHOT Show is around the corner and our bags are packed.  Joining Steve and Jonathan this year will be Eric Fine from “The Gear Locker” and Thomas Adams, admin of the Airsoft Barracks forums.

2. An A&K PTW????  This might be really cool if they make it backwards compatible with Systema parts, Thanks to Cameron G for this find!

3. According to our firends at Airsoft2Day Zeta Labs has teamed up with ARES to produce quite affordable WWII replica airsoft guns! They already have a Mosin Nagant, Thompson, gangster tommy PPSH-41 and a M3 produced, however, they are coming out with a M1 Garand and a M1 Carbine. The Mosin Nagant is priced at $128 and their Kar98k at $160  - Austin P, looks like here’s your answer to your question!

4. Toyko Marui released at the Tokyo "SHOT" show a Springfield XDm pistol replicated off their .40cal design. No word on pricing yet but we say: Bout time!

5. Madbull has completed the RIPR - Rifle Integrated Power Rail (RIPR) licensed by RESET.  It provides a quick change battery for your AEG in a ready-mag spot for AEGs...  Plus it's called theRIPR, and that's reason enough to go out and buy it.

6.  From the "Company that Shall Not be Named"  (HK!  There, I said it!) New 416s and 417s are on the way from VFC.  We call dibs on the compact version!

Huge thanks to all of the RARs: Andrew Rice (new), Austin, Robert Irwin , Alex Kong    And a hat tip to our potential future RARs for contributing this week:  Harrison Y. and Michael W!  If you want to become a RAR, it’s simple:  Send us news, vocabulary, tips,  whatever to This email address is being protected from spambots. Listener Segment

"The voices in our heads tell us to answer the questions or else we get the hose."

1. Listener Robert D. Follow up:  What you personally or other players that you know do/would recommend for workout regiments at the gym to become a more effective player. The biggest issues that I find with most "Fitness" programs is that they focus on the look rather than function, and I am looking for more of a functional regiment to help when I play and to get myself fit/healthier off the field.

Erik from DoubleTap Radio (awesome podcast BTW) has a few suggestions:

I recognize that the BodyRocker http://www.bodyrock.tv/ fitness people look pretty, but trust me they can and will kick your ass. They are in shockingly good shape, they aren't just pretty faces, they are lean and mean because they work their tight little behinds off. There work outs allow you to modify your pace so you can start simple and ramp up as your fitness allows it. https://www.facebook.com/BodyRock.Tv

The other program I'm working towards is the SealFit program, it's the real deal run by former Seals plus the team leaders lecture is really inspiring;

Their workout also includes the psychological component of creating a mental toughness, they also have an online forum for people to support each other in their training goals. In my opinion they are a real top notch organization.

and Listener George W recommend this:

I came across this video on youtube and thought it was fantastic. It’s call the RangerUp workout. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZS0kHGMiPH8&feature=related
