1. Guys, this is a serious piece of news and how it affects airsoft as a sport in the USA: California’s SB 798 aka the “Rainbow Gun bill” It will force all airsoft guns to be brightly colored regardless of the owners age within the stat of California.

The only way to get this bill defeated, is to call or write a senator in California and express your opinion.  It does not matter if you are of voting age or if you live in California or not; it’s important as an airsofter in the US that you voice your opinion and let them know that you oppose the bill.

Airsoft Vocabulary

Alright, this week is another person we ALL know (thanks to RAR Austin):

CODsofter [See-oh-dee-sawft-er] noun

1. An Airsoft player obsessed with anything related to teh Call of Duty video game series.  The CODsofter typically uses crappy JGs and stuff like that, no gear, sometimes no camo. Yet they are quick to notice your ACOG or ACR or akimbo G18s. These kids think they have 2000 yard range like in their favorite game.. and call people out that far away. CODsofters are quick to camp, and not so quick to actually rush, or use any tactics. They like to go hunker down in the nearest cover available and wait for the enemy.

Usually funded by mommymoney, these players really don't have the greatest stuff out there. These younger players sometimes HATE to be told what to do, although the ones that are okay with it can become great airsofters. CODsofters also make great meatshields. 

Advice when you meet one:
Tell them to rush and you will provide cover fire. Then laugh silently.

Making up for lost time, we’re bringing you a double dose of reviews again this show.  Sit back, strap in and get ready for our reviews of the new Lonex High cap and the Airsoft Innovations GasCan.

Lonex M4 AEG High Speed Flash Magazine

Highlights:
Around $30 retail
Flat black coating
360 rounds
Internal steel cable in place of the traditional winding wheel
Can wind the entire mag in 3-5 pulls

Pros:
Comes packaged in plain single boxes
The fastest winding high cap magazine out there
Solid build externally
Door access opens easily when needed, but stays put during use
Fits and feeds in every AEG we tried (KWA, Echo1, G&G, G&P)

Cons:
Matte black finish wears off a bit fast
Longer than normal 300 round high caps (about as long as a 450 round high cap)
Required access to the door on bottom prevents the use of magpuls
Can difficult to grasp cord wearing thick gloves
A bit on the expensive side

Bottom line:
The Lonex Flash Magazine is a nice upgrade to traditional high caps, solving the nagging issue of having to continuously wind them in combat.  The 360 round capacity is generous, and feeds in all the various brand the guns we tested it with.

Even at the high price that will probably prevent you from replacing all your traditional magazines and the challenges winding it with thick gloves, it’s solid enough to give it our recommendation: “A Buy”

Airsoft Innovations GasCan (Jonathan)

Highlights:
$49.99
Compact (fits perfectly in a M203 pouch, or 2 go in a double M4 pouch)
Fills up to 10 Tornado grenades, or up to 14 GBB mags depending on brand
Comes with GBB oil so you can use Propane and still keep mags correctly lubricated

Pros:
Compact sized sure beats carrying a Green Gas can or Propane tank on the field.
Includes required oil for 100’s of fills
Fills 7 to 14 Gas pistol mags on a single charge.
Very durable, can withstand the toughest of “battle wear”

Cons:
Initial price of $49.99 is a bit high for the casual player.
Not for gas rifle owners:  it will only fill a single GBB Rifle magazine under ideal conditions.
Screw off cap could get lost, especially if you’re trying to fill in a stressful situation. No spares available as of the time of the review.


Bottom line:
If you are a GBB pistol owner, M203 grenadier, or Tornado grenade owner then this is the device you have been looking for.  The compact, portable size allows you to stay in the game with convenient on-the-field refills without having to lug around larger green gas or propane tanks.  Couple that with the ability to use affordable propane and still add the proper amount of silicone lubricant and you have a winning combination.  Even with a $49.99 price tag, this little guy will pay for itself quickly if you make the switch to propane.

Our recommendation:  “A Must Buy” (Our highest rating)
