Episode #12 out a bit late and we hope it was worth the wait. This episode brings some changes and some show firsts as well, including our very first in studio guest.
But first: Sadly, we must bid Chris a fond farewell from the show as his work as a airsoft tech has totally eaten into his free time. Something had to give, and it had to be the time involved in making the show. I guess when you are as good at what you do as he is, you have to go where the money is. But fear not, I have a feeling we’ll be seeing (or hearing) him in some future episodes.
If you want to track him down and send your gushing fanmail, you can find him at www.nashvilleairsoft.com or at his email: mechboxmechanic@gmail.com.
Ok, now to the good news.
We now have a great new addition to the Airsoftology team! Steve officially joins the cast. In the next few weeks we’ll get his bio up on this site and info on how to reach him on the web. We’ll get him plugged in and answering emails really soon too. Until then, send anything you want him to answer to the show email and we’ll make sure he reads it.
Speaking of email, we’re really behind now, but we’re catching up. If you have sent something to the show recently, we promise we’re reading them. Keep them coming!
Finally on the topic of the show, we are in the final stages of rolling out a live listening option. We’re beta testing it for #13, and if all goes well you should see it live for all to join on #14. Keep an eye on the site, we’ll be announcing how to join in live very soon. Space is limited.
Informative with a touch of humor; we break down the news, gear reviews and tech tips that you want to hear.

Show Notes:
News
- Looks like WE has a new GBB rifle on the way, the SCAR. Evike.com has for preorder and it looks to take existing WE M4 mags as well.
- JG has a new, affordable, tracer unit on the horizon. At about $30 US it might be worth the investment.
- ICS’ new Galil looks promising, and it even has a working thumb fire selector. RATECH has the lowdown on their youtube channel here.
- CA has an army of new guns out or releasing very soon. You can find all the info at Classic Army’s site or if you are a US customer at Spartan Imports’ coming soon page. Speaking of Spartan Imports, they sure know their target market. If you want to see the “red tank top” Dragunov video we reference in the show, you only have to click right here.
- KSC has a release date for their new MP7 GBB submachine gun and while it looks very cool, you better bring the money. With a preorder price $350 plus another $60 per magazine, it gets expensive quick.
Reviews
- Jonathan’s back form his trip to California, USA and he has seen the promised land! He reviews Airsoft GI in the show’s very first retailer review and they get a 10/10. A big thanks to their super-tech Anthony for showing him around the shop. If you’re in the market for anything Airsoft related (and they have just about everything imaginable) or need tech work done, look him and the team at Airsoft GI up.
- Whave the only prototype of the new SOCOM Barrett M82 AEG in studio for a hands on first look. After we wipe away the drool, we realize that a gym membership might be in our future for this VERY realistic 27 pounds monster. But hey, you have to make sacrifices if you want something this cool. The AirsoftGI video review (with a funny outtake at the end) is available here.
Tech Tips
This week we forgo the tech tip for a super-geeky look into the world of Clark Shell (aka Neospud). Best known for his work in high-end potato cannons, he’s ported his talents to the airsoft world and has developed his very own airsoft “flamethrower”.
Built from his own design, he tells us what when into the initial prototype and where the project is today. If 115 bb’s a second at 400fps doesn’t get your interest, I’m not sure what will. Even if you skip everything else, you can’t miss this.
You can find Clark at his site www.neospud.com and on youtube under the Neospud channel.
